Class A CDL Driver — Home Weekly
Join a dedicated grocery account that delivers consistent freight and long-term stability. This Class A CDL driving role is based near Hickory, North Carolina, and is ideal for drivers who want weekly home time, dependable miles, and strong earning potential. You will operate late-model International, Freightliner, Kenworth, and Volvo equipment while running a predictable multi-stop route network. Experienced dispatch and operations support keep you moving, and additional stop pay opportunities reward productivity. Trucks cannot be taken home.
Schedule
Home weekly with a 34-hour reset; approximately 1,550 miles/week; 3+ loads per week; 3–5 stops per day; nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional Saturdays required
Start Date
Immediate — qualified drivers can start after onboarding and road test
What you'll do
- Deliver groceries and dry goods throughout NC, SC, GA, TN, PA, WV, VA, OH, KY, FL, and AL
- Complete 3+ loads per week with 3–5 stops per day in a safe and timely manner
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Handle 100% no-touch freight; coordinate with receivers and dispatch on schedule changes
- Communicate delays, breakdowns, or delivery issues to dispatch promptly
- Maintain compliance with DOT hours-of-service, ELD, and safety regulations
What we're looking for
- Valid Class A CDL
- Live within 80 miles of Hickory, NC
- Reliable transportation to and from the distribution center
- Strong time-management and customer-service skills
- Comfortable with multi-stop routes, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional Saturdays
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen
Pay & benefits
- $1,150–$1,300 average weekly pay; $1,500+ weekly potential for top earners
- $2,500 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers
