Certified Nursing Assistant
A well-regarded 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation community on the north side of Columbus is expanding its nursing assistant team. This is a contract-to-hire role: work 480 hours on assignment and the facility converts strong performers to full-time employees with full benefits and tenure credit. Residents range from short-stay rehab patients recovering from joint replacement to long-term memory care residents, so you will build a broad skill set with consistent assignments rather than rotating units each shift.
Schedule
Day (7a–3p) or evening (3p–11p) shifts, 32–40 hours weekly, every other weekend
Start Date
Immediate — onboarding in under a week
What you'll do
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs, intake and output, and weights
- Safely transfer residents using gait belts, sit-to-stand lifts, and mechanical lifts
- Report changes in resident condition, skin integrity, or behavior to the charge nurse
- Support meal service, hydration passes, and activity programming
What we're looking for
- Active Ohio STNA/CNA certification in good standing
- 6+ months of long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Ability to lift and reposition residents with assistive equipment
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Background check and TB screening
