Maintenance Technician
A highly automated plastics manufacturing plant outside Greenville is hiring maintenance technicians onto its permanent staff. The facility runs injection molding cells, robotic take-out arms, and automated packaging lines, so the role is a genuine multi-craft position rather than a filter-changing job. You will join a four-technician team per shift with a strong CMMS program, a well-stocked crib, and a plant manager who came up through maintenance. This is a direct-hire placement — you are an employee of the manufacturer from day one.
Schedule
Rotating 12-hour shifts (2-2-3 schedule) with every other weekend off
Start Date
Flexible — two to four weeks out
What you'll do
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules on molding presses, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults to component level
- Diagnose PLC-driven faults and interpret ladder logic to isolate machine issues
- Perform mechanical repairs including bearings, gearboxes, drives, and belts
- Document all work orders and parts usage in the CMMS
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFD drives
- Strong hydraulics, pneumatics, and 480V three-phase electrical skills
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
- Technical diploma or completed apprenticeship preferred
