Special Education Teacher
A growing public school district in the Phoenix metro area needs a certified special education teacher for its K–5 resource program. You will serve a caseload of approximately 18–22 students across pull-out resource and push-in inclusion settings, supported by two full-time paraprofessionals and a district special education coordinator. The district provides curriculum, assessment tools, and a structured IEP calendar, so you spend your time teaching rather than reinventing paperwork. Contracts run the full academic year with renewal offered to teachers in good standing.

Monday–Friday, 7:30a–3:30p, follows the district academic calendar

What you'll do
- Deliver specially designed instruction in reading, writing, and math to students with IEPs
- Write, revise, and lead IEP meetings in compliance with IDEA timelines
- Collect and analyze progress-monitoring data toward annual goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers on accommodations and modifications
- Supervise and direct paraprofessional support within the resource setting
What we're looking for
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate with a special education endorsement (or reciprocity eligible)
- Experience writing and implementing IEPs at the elementary level
- Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card or ability to obtain
- Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field
- Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
