Payroll Specialist
A 900-employee healthcare services organization headquartered in Tampa is migrating from a legacy payroll platform to ADP Workforce Now and needs an experienced payroll specialist to keep biweekly processing accurate through the transition. You will run production payroll across nine states while helping validate mapped data, test parallel runs, and document new procedures. The organization intends to keep this role permanently once the migration stabilizes, making it a strong contract-to-hire opportunity for someone who wants project exposure plus long-term stability.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:30a–5:00p, hybrid with additional hours during payroll week

What you'll do
- Process biweekly multi-state payroll for approximately 900 employees
- Audit timekeeping data, PTO accruals, and shift differentials before submission
- Reconcile payroll registers, tax filings, and general ledger postings
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Support parallel testing and data validation during the ADP migration
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Hands-on ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of federal and multi-state wage, hour, and tax requirements
- High attention to detail with strict confidentiality
- FPC or CPP certification a plus
